01 · OverviewOne system for guests, waiters, kitchen and owner
The Pusher Order System + POS connects everything that happens in a restaurant, café or bar. A guest orders from the table, the kitchen gets the ticket, the waiter serves, the till takes the payment and the owner sees the numbers. Every screen updates on every device the moment something happens.
The Pusher Order System has five main screens. Each one runs in the browser, so you open it on the device that fits the job:
| Guest page | On the guest's phone after scanning the table QR code. Menu, ordering, order status, calling the waiter and asking for the bill. |
|---|---|
| Till (POS) | For the waiters and the cashier, usually on an iPad. Guest orders, orders taken by staff, open bills, payments, bookings, history and day end. |
| Kitchen & bar | A kitchen display on an iPad or phone. Tickets in Thai and English, timers, "Ready" per dish. |
| Bookings | A booking page for your guests, which can sit inside your own website. |
| Admin | For the owner or manager: menu, prices, photos, staff, payments, tables, printers and every setting. |
Optional extras are a pickup page for takeaway orders and stock control (inventory). Everything is switched on or off per restaurant, so the Pusher Order System only shows what you actually use.
02 · Getting startedQuick and simple setup
No long setup times and no technical knowledge needed. Pusher prepares your restaurant in the system, you connect your devices, and you start.
- Send us your menu and logo, or just your Google Maps link. PDF or photos of the menu are fine.
- We prepare your Pusher Order System with your dishes, prices, categories, choices, your logo and colours.
- Connect your devices and add your staff. Tablets and phones for the till, the kitchen and the bar, and a PIN for everyone on your team.
- Print your table QR cards. Every table gets its own QR code. The codes never change, so you print them once.
- Try the full version free for one week. No payment details, no obligation. Then choose monthly or yearly.
03 · Guest pageQR ordering at the table
Every table has a QR code. The guest scans it with the phone camera and the menu of your restaurant opens straight away. There is no app to download and no account to create.
The menu
- Your logo at the top, the table number, and a language picker with up to 13 languages.
- Search by dish name or dish number, and a category row that stays on screen while scrolling.
- Photos of your dishes if you want them, ingredients and a short description.
- Labels next to the price: Spicy, Vegetarian, Contains nuts and Recommended.
- Sold-out dishes are marked, so nobody orders what the kitchen can't make.
- An optional card for your next event, for example "Live music tonight".
Choices and wishes
Dishes can have choices: required ones, like how the steak is cooked, and extras with a limit, like up to three toppings. Each answer can have its own surcharge, for example "Bacon +60". Before sending, the guest can add a short note such as an allergy or "no ice". This note stands out on the kitchen ticket.
Sending the order
The guest opens "Your order", changes amounts with − and +, checks the total and taps Send order. Paying happens at the end, as usual in a restaurant.
Call the waiter and ask for the bill
Two buttons on the guest page: Call the waiter and Ask for the bill. With "Ask for the bill" the guest chooses how to pay: cash, card or Thai QR. With Thai QR, a real PromptPay code for the open amount appears on the guest's phone, and the guest can save it to photos and pay in the banking app. Both buttons can be switched off.
After paying
When the bill is paid, the guest sees a digital receipt with "Paid · thank you!", can save it as PDF or send it by email, and the table resets for the next guests after a short time.
04 · Order flowFrom the table to the kitchen to the bill
Every order in the Pusher Order System goes through the same clear steps. The guest follows them live on the phone:
- Sent: the order reaches the till and waits for confirmation.
- Confirmed: a waiter accepts it at the till. Only now it goes to the kitchen and the bar, so nothing gets cooked by mistake. The kitchen screen shows the ticket with a timer.
- On its way: the cook taps "Ready", the till is told to pick the dish up, and the guest sees "On its way".
- Served: the waiter taps "Served". The guest sees it, and the table's bill is ready to pay.
If an order is rejected at the till, the guest sees "Please speak to your waiter".
05 · TillThe till (POS) for waiters and cashier
The till of the Pusher Order System is built for busy service. It has tabs along the top, and a red call bar appears on every tab as soon as a table calls the waiter or asks for the bill, with an "On my way" button.
Guest orders
New orders from guest phones arrive here with Accept and Reject. At the top, under "Ready to serve", you see every dish the kitchen has finished. The cards change colour the longer a dish waits (yellow, then red with "WAITING"), and you can serve single dishes or all ready dishes at once. Pickup orders appear here too.
Till: taking orders yourself
Tap a table, pick dishes from the category tiles, choose options, add a note for the kitchen and tap Send. Each table button shows if the table is free, occupied or waiting. A half-built order stays when you switch tabs, so nothing gets lost when a guest calls.
Drinks
The bar's tickets, with Poured when the drink is ready.
Open orders
Every open bill in one place. From here you split the bill, take the payment and close the table. See Bills & payments.
Bookings
New booking requests from your website appear in a bar on every tab, with Confirm or Can't do it. Below you see the next 14 days, mark guests as Arrived or No show, and seat them on the table plan.
History, numbers, clock and day end
Paid bills, sales figures, staff clock-in and the end of the day each have their own tab. See Day end, history & numbers and Staff & shifts.
06 · PaymentsBills, split bills and payments
Ways to pay
| Cash | Enter what the guest gives and the till shows the change. |
|---|---|
| Card | With your card machine. An optional card surcharge (for example 3%) can be added; it is not counted as sales or VAT. |
| Thai QR (PromptPay) | The PromptPay code is made for the exact open amount. Staff check the slip or the banking app and tap Received. Your PromptPay account can be a phone number, national ID, 13-digit company tax ID or e-wallet ID, and Admin has a 1 ฿ test QR. |
Split the bill
- Equally: divide the bill by the number of guests.
- By item: tick exactly what one guest pays, then "Pay selected". The rest stays open.
Service charge, VAT and tax invoice
Service charge and VAT each have their own switch and rate (usually 10% and 7% in Thailand). The receipt shows both. With your 13-digit tax ID set, the Pusher Order System prints a full tax invoice ("TAX INVOICE / ใบกำกับภาษี") on 80 mm paper. A paid bill always keeps the rates it was paid with.
Tips
When staff are set up, the payment screen has a tip line. Tips can go into a pool that is split by hours worked, or to the person who served.
Closing the table
After the last payment the till shows the receipt with a Print button and "Table is free again". The guest's phone shows the digital receipt at the same moment.
07 · Kitchen & barKitchen display and bar screen
The kitchen screen of the Pusher Order System replaces paper tickets, or works next to them. Kitchen and bar are separate stations, each with its own screen.
- Only accepted orders appear, so the kitchen never cooks an order the till hasn't confirmed.
- Two languages per screen: a big line and a small line, for example Thai big and English small. Any of the 13 languages can be used.
- Timer on every ticket: it turns yellow after 15 minutes and red after 20 minutes with a "LATE" strip. Both times can be changed.
- Allergy notes stand out on the ticket, and a bell rings for every new ticket.
- "Ready" per dish or "All ready" for the whole ticket; at the bar it's "Poured". The till is told straight away.
- Cancel single dishes or a whole ticket. If a dish was already paid, the till is reminded to refund it.
- "86" list: shows what is sold out today.
- Print on every ticket, or print new tickets automatically (1–3 copies).
Kitchen sections
Bigger kitchens can split into up to eight sections, for example Grill and Wok. Each section has its own screen and printer, and every slip says what the same table still has elsewhere ("Also for T7: Wok ✓").
08 · PrintingReceipts and kitchen slips
The Pusher Order System prints on any 80 mm receipt printer that your device can print to. On iPad, the printer needs AirPrint. On a PC, Chrome can print without the print dialog.
- What prints: receipts, reprints, kitchen and bar slips, the Z report at day end and tax invoices.
- Printing is set per device and per screen (till, kitchen, bar), with paper width 58 or 80 mm.
- If the printer is offline, prints wait in a queue and go out when it is back.
Not sure which printer to buy? We help you choose and set it up.
09 · BookingsTable bookings on your website
Guests book a table on a booking page that can sit inside your own website. Nothing is paid online.
- The guest picks the party size, a date within the next 14 days and a time.
- Optionally a table on your table plan, or "no preference".
- Name, phone or WhatsApp, email (optional), the occasion (birthday, anniversary, date night, business …) and allergies.
- The request appears at the till. When you confirm, the guest sees "Confirmed" live and can add the booking to the calendar.
Booking rules in Admin
Turn bookings on or off, set the number of seats, how long a table is busy, how long you hold a late table, the biggest party, how early guests must book and how far ahead. Opening hours are set per weekday, and single days can be closed. Admin also gives you the link and the code to put the booking page into your website.
Table plan
A 2D table map shows your areas and tables. You drag tables into place, set seats and shape, and mark tables that can only be booked at the till.
10 · PickupPickup and takeaway orders
An optional pickup page for orders to take away, linked from your website or a QR code at the door. It uses the same menu and languages as the guest page.
- The guest enters name and phone and picks a time: as soon as possible or a time slot.
- Pay at pickup, or pay now with Thai QR.
- Every order gets a pickup number (P-1, P-2 …) and the guest follows it live: received, accepted, being prepared, ready at the counter, picked up.
- At the till you accept, change the time or reject.
- Outside your opening hours the page says when you open next.
11 · AdminMenu, prices and settings
Admin is where the owner or manager runs the Pusher Order System. It is protected by the manager PIN, and every change reaches all devices at once.
Menu
- Sold out today: one switch per dish, no need to open it.
- Edit a dish: photo, name in English and Thai, price or sizes, category, kitchen or bar, description, choices with surcharges, labels.
- Categories: order, icon, English and Thai names, kitchen or bar, hide from guests.
- Choices: change a choice group once and every dish that uses it follows.
Features
One page with every optional switch, grouped by guest page, bookings, till and kitchen. For example photos on the menu, call the waiter, ask for the bill, tips or pickup.
Events
Add events once, daily or weekly, with times, a text and up to four photos. The next event shows on the guest page.
Tables and QR codes
Set the number of tables, print the QR sheet (A4 with 6 per page, A5 one per page, business-card size or your own size, also only for new tables) and choose how fast a table resets after payment.
Payments, kitchen screens and receipts
PromptPay account, service charge, VAT, tax ID, card surcharge and void limits; the languages and ticket colours of the kitchen screens; printers and paper per device.
12 · StaffStaff, PINs and shifts
- Screen PINs protect Admin, the numbers and big voids (manager PIN) and closing the day (day end PIN). You choose your own PINs.
- Staff list: name, role (service, bar, kitchen, manager), colour and a personal 4-digit PIN.
- Clock in and out with your own PIN, including breaks. The manager can correct times.
- My shifts on my phone: a QR code opens your own hours and tips on your phone, read-only.
- Track staff per order (optional): the till asks who sends, serves or takes the payment, so numbers and tips are per person.
- Timesheet as a CSV file for payroll. The day end warns if someone is still clocked in.
13 · Day endDay end, Z report, history and numbers
Day end and Z report
The Z report runs live during the day. At closing you count the cash, the Pusher Order System shows what was expected and the difference, and you tap Close the day with the day end PIN. The Z report prints by itself and can be exported as CSV. It includes refunds, card surcharges, tips by staff, pickup orders and open bills carried over to the next day.
History
Every paid bill for today, yesterday or any day up to one year back. Filter by payment method, table, area or staff, search by receipt number, amount or dish, and export exactly your selection as CSV. Per bill you can refund (the whole bill or single dishes, manager PIN), change the payment method (same day), reprint, show a receipt QR for the guest's phone or print a tax invoice.
Numbers
Behind the manager PIN: sales for today, yesterday, 7 days, 30 days, this month or your own period, compared with the period before. You see your most ordered dishes and the five weakest, a heatmap of guests and bookings, staff numbers and, if used, food cost from inventory.
14 · InventoryStock control (optional)
Inventory is switched off by default. When you turn it on, the Pusher Order System books your stock automatically:
- Stock items in pieces, bottles, kg, g, litres or ml, with a minimum, price and supplier.
- A recipe per dish (and per choice). When the till accepts an order, the stock is booked; when an item runs out, the dish sells out by itself and guests see "only n left" before that.
- Deliveries, stock counts with the difference booked as loss, and suppliers with WhatsApp, LINE or email.
- Purchase orders: draft, send by WhatsApp or email, then receive.
- Food cost, loss and purchases in the numbers.
15 · Languages13 languages for guests and staff
The guest page of the Pusher Order System speaks English, Thai (ไทย), German, French, Russian, Ukrainian, Hebrew, Hindi, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Danish and Chinese. English is always on; you choose which other languages your guests see. Staff screens can be switched to any of the 13, and every kitchen screen shows two languages at once. Dish names stay as you write them, in English and Thai.
16 · DevicesDevices, internet and sync
- Runs in the browser on iPad, Android tablet, phone, PC and Mac. It can be added to the home screen like an app, and iPad screens stay awake.
- Live on every device: an order, a payment or a "Ready" appears on every screen of the restaurant within a moment.
- If the internet drops: guests can still read the menu, but new orders from guest phones need the internet. The till keeps working, and anything not yet sent goes out as soon as the connection is back.
- Hosting, support and every update are included in the monthly and yearly plan. Questions? We help on WhatsApp.
